Building Realms

A spatial computing studio designing and building exceptional spatial experiences.

Work

Interior Design Visualization

AEC & Real Estate · Apple Vision Pro

Two pipelines, one outcome: decisions made standing inside the design instead of squinting at 2D renders. A hand-modeled home walked at exact 1:1 scale on Apple Vision Pro — aligned to the real structure with three-point triangulation, furnished at true scale, finished with realistic PBR materials. And a rapid path that turns a single 360° photo into an AI-restyled, walkable 3D environment in about five minutes using Gaussian splats. Built for interior designers, real estate, and anyone committing money to a space that doesn't exist yet.

Soothing Boids

visionOS · RealityKit · Apple Vision Pro

A mindfulness app designed, built, and shipped end to end on the App Store. Hundreds of flocking birds move gracefully around you through calming scenes with guided mindfulness sessions, spatial-audio music, and voice guidance — or in free-play mode in your own room, where the flock reacts naturally to your hands. Built on RealityKit's Entity Component System with instanced rendering for smooth performance.

Dinopedia

Education · Spatial Jurassic Experience

Learning by exploring instead of reading: browse dinosaurs as 3D models you can turn and scale, step into an immersive space where they share your room, and hunt hidden ones through a magnifying glass whose lens is a portal into their world. Built with SwiftUI and RealityKit across all three visionOS scene types — windows, volumes, and immersive spaces — with image-based lighting and grounding shadows that make the creatures feel genuinely present.

Immersive Posters

Marketing & Events · ARKit

Look at an ordinary printed poster through Vision Pro and the scene wakes up: ARKit image tracking recognizes the print, a portal opens inside the frame, and an animated robot steps out into the room. The concept art and the poster itself were generated with AI, then wired into the spatial experience — a repeatable pipeline for movie one-sheets, product launches, trade-show booths, and retail displays that stop people mid-step.

Shaders & VFX

Visual Craft · RealityKit

A collection of visual experiments that push what spatial rendering can feel like. A portal box whose four faces each open onto a different world — shipped on the App Store as Just a Portal. An iridescent soap-bubble shader built in Reality Composer Pro's Shader Graph. A disco-ball effect that throws moving light across the scanned mesh of your actual room. And a box hidden inside a real table using occlusion materials, plane detection, and physics. Visual fidelity is a feature — this is the muscle behind it.

Real × Virtual Interaction

Connected Hardware · IoT × Spatial

Experiences that cross the boundary between digital and physical. A Philips Hue controller where a ring of colored orbs appears on your palm — drag or slingshot one onto a real light and it changes on contact, with world anchors that remember every placement across app launches and reboots. And an energy-sucking lamp: virtual orbs disintegrate into particle streams that a real lamp absorbs, glowing brighter with each one, driven over Bluetooth LE to a microcontroller. When an interface can touch the real world, demos become unforgettable.

Capabilities

Spatial App Development

Native Apple Vision Pro apps, designed and engineered end to end — from first concept to the App Store.

Rapid Prototyping

A working prototype you can wear in weeks — the fastest way to find out if a spatial idea is worth building.

Immersive Film & Spatial Video Production

Filming and mastering video that wraps around the viewer — the full capture-to-headset pipeline, including Apple Immersive Video.

AI-Powered Spatial Interfaces

Experiences where AI understands the room — apps that see your space, respond to it, and act in it.

Interactive Installation Design

Walk-in interactive experiences for showrooms, exhibits, and events — designed, built, and installed.

Where we build

Healthcare

Clinical training, patient education, and anatomy you can walk around — spatial clarity where it matters most.

  • Flat scans and diagrams hide what's inherently 3D — anatomy, procedures, and devices.
  • Hands-on training is expensive, risky, and hard to scale across teams and sites.
  • Patients consent to procedures they don't truly understand.

We build clinical-grade visionOS experiences — walk-around anatomy, procedure rehearsal, and patient education that turns anxiety into understanding.

AEC & Real Estate

Architecture, construction, real estate, and interiors — walk unbuilt spaces, review designs at full scale, and sell what doesn't exist yet.

  • Design problems surface after concrete is poured — when they're most expensive to fix.
  • Clients can't read floor plans, so approvals stall and change orders pile up.
  • Unbuilt property is sold from flat renders that undersell the space.

We turn your models into full-scale walkthroughs on Apple Vision Pro — design reviews that catch issues early, and sales experiences that let buyers stand in a space before it exists.

Industrial Training

Procedure training in headset — hands-on muscle memory without downtime, travel, or risk on the real line.

  • Training on live equipment means downtime, travel, and real risk.
  • Manuals and videos don't build muscle memory — repetition does.
  • Expertise is retiring faster than it can be passed on.

We build headset training that lets teams rehearse procedures hands-on, fail safely, and measure progress — before anyone touches the real line.

Trade Shows & Events

Show-floor experiences for CES, launches, and showrooms — demos people line up for and remember your brand by.

  • Show floors blur together — most booths are forgotten by the next aisle.
  • Products that are big, complex, or invisible can't be demoed on a table.
  • Attention is the scarcest resource at CES — and everywhere else.

We create spatial demos people queue for — shrink a factory to a tabletop, put visitors inside your product, and be the booth they're still talking about after the show.

Built by Sarang Borude

Building Realms is the studio of Sarang Borude — former Staff Product Design Prototyper at Meta Reality Labs, with twelve years designing and building spatial computing experiences across AR, VR, and AI.

The interesting question was never whether spatial computing works — it's what becomes possible for people whose work depends on it.

At Meta Reality Labs, he prototyped next-generation wearables — Orion AR glasses, Meta Ray-Ban Display, and Ray-Ban Meta — exploring how AI and spatial interfaces combine into experiences that feel natural beyond a screen.

At Amazon, he helped build the AR shopping experiences that let millions of customers see products in their own homes before buying — raising confidence, cutting returns. Earlier: immersive AR/VR prototyping at Intel and Volkswagen Group.

Today, Building Realms partners with companies building the future of spatial computing — from immersive visualization and AI-native interfaces to Apple Vision Pro experiences shipped end to end.

Why we do what we do

Spatial computing isn't about placing 2D interfaces into 3D space. The most compelling experiences embrace what's unique to the medium — space, presence, context, and natural interaction — to create software that feels intuitive, immersive, and meaningful.

Building Realms exists to help companies design and build those experiences.
